The Home PC Repair Experience...

You call us to book an appointment to see one of our experts - same day if available.

Our technician arrives at the agreed date and time* and we politely introduce ourselves, provide our business card and once invited in will proceed to investigate the cause of your technical issue(s).

We try our best to identify the issue within the first 15 minutes of accessing your device(s). And in plain English and without any arrogance or attitude clearly explain the cause of the issue(s) and the options to resolve them. We do our best to provide an estimated time-frame based on our technical experience and any associated costs such as replacement hardware.

We will begin performing the necessary work required to resolve the issue. As part of this service we will also explain clearly to you what we're doing and are happy to answer any questions and provide any training required. In addition during our work we'll also make suggestions based on our experience as to how else we can tweak and improve your device to improve performance where possible.

Common Questions & Answers

Q: What's your approach to repairs and solutions?

A: Although there are many IT service businesses that will for the most part recommend an entirely new computer system to solve your problem (typically because this can be more profitable), we at Home PC Repair do not subscribe to this method. Our preference is to clearly explain the root cause of the issue and then provide you with options that are in your best interest as the client. For example if the Hard-Disk Drive in your machine is faulty this doesn't mean you need a new computer. Rather a replacement drive, we'll also make recommendations for improvements for example upgrading it to a Solid-State Drive to dramatically improve your computers performance whilst getting it fixed, isn't that handy?

Q: Are there any hidden costs, will I end up with a huge bill?

A: Part of our initial process is where possible, to provide you with a realistic estimate on the amount of time that should be required to resolve the issue(s). We do our best to keep you informed of how long we believe our services will be required so that there are no nasty surprises. We aren't operating our business for short term gains, we'd like to make sure you're happy with our services and will make us your go-to technical experts. As such everything we do revolves around providing a fantastically high quality service experience.

Q: Will you be able to repair everything on-site?

A: Our preference is to complete all work during our allotted site visit time-frame, however we won't leave you stranded and just leave if times up. We'll make arrangements to cover our next clients appointment. There are instances where the work being performed on site might take a significantly long time to complete for example when copying a large volume of files from a failing Hard-Disk Drive. We may provide you with options for us to begin the copying process and return at a later date/time, or complete the work remotely off-site with your permission. This allows us to not only complete the required work but also keep repair costs reasonable. No-one wants to pay somebody to watch a progress bar take a really long time to finish! We are of course happy to stay and watch said progress bar if that's your preference although we will probably get a bit bored and start asking you if there's any other devices we can start working on!

Q: I keep seeing this guy's name "Colin" appearing in many of your reviews, can I get him to solve our technical issues?

A: Colin is the founder of Home PC Repair and tries to work on growing the business more so than working within the business. We're still in our early stages of growth as a business and that's why you're seeing his name more than others. However it's Colin's main focus to ensure that all of our experts provide the same extremely high quality service experience and follow all of his principles for not just diagnosing issues but our philosophy on repair options and how we treat our customers with the upmost respect. Colin hates arrogant "IT Guys" and hires team members based on attitude rather than experience, his view is "we can teach and support our team to providing excellent work but we can't improve a grumpy IT persons attitude or outlook on life". We strive to provide an excellent high quality service experience throughout our business so no matter the technician or team member you're in amazing hands!

*Our team or technician will notify you if any prior jobs ran over their allotted time-frame (we don't like to leave our customers hanging!).
